2023 Fall Midwest Workout Showcase
Cameron Miller is a 2027 3B/RHP, OF with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Nixa, MO, who attends Nixa. Long and lean frame with plenty of room to keep filling out moving forward. Projectable frame. Ran a 7.73 60-yard dash. Primary infielder who moved really well, showing athletic footwork and a feel for the angles & glovework. Softer hands with a whippy three-quarters release across the diamond. Threw 77 mph across the diamond during his round, projectable actions on the dirt. Worked out as an outfielder as well, fielding it off to the side of the front foot, taking direct angles to it. He had a lengthy and loose arm stroke, creating some whip as he pulled down through release. Showed one-hop accuracy to the bag, throwing 78 mph during his round. A right-handed hitter with an even base, spread stance, higher-set hands, and slightly open feet. He had a quicker leg lift with some separation as he worked through it. He extended through contact well and had good rotation through the zone. He could lift backside with a good feel for the barrel. Showed off an excellent round of swings during BP overall. Nice line-drive-producing swings. Consistent round. Produced an 80 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Took to the mound as well. A right-handed pitcher with long levers that he used well. Works from the wind-up with a spread base, side-stepping into a knee-to-belt leg lift. He had good angle from a higher three-quarters arm slot. He created some whip through release--loose arm stroke. The fastball was 78-80 mph, showing some arm side run, getting good angle when he threw it in the lower quadrants of the zone. Showed a slider that has a 10/4 shape to it, with good depth. He also varied the breaker with a bigger more vertical curveball. Both breakers had good spin profiles. Killed spin on the changeup down to the 1,300s with good tumble to it, showing plenty of depth. He located all of his pitches well, mixing pitches and showing traits to project on on the mound. Great student. Named to the 2023 Fall Midwest Workout Showcase TP List.
