Pedro Contreras is a 2022 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-1 201 lb. frame from Lafayette, CO who attends Centaurus. Large, square shouldered frame with long limbs and present strength to build, additional room to fill. Ran an 8.19 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, takes shorter steps moving toward the ball, fields the ball out front, will continue to refine overall actions, longer gather with a full arm action on throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, begins with a narrow and open base at the plate, utilizes a big stride moving into contact. Still hands at start, works on a linear plane through the zone and connects for some line drive contact off of the barrel. Upper body dominant swing, swings with intent and generates some bat speed through the zone. Good student.
