Evan Torres is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Anaheim, CA who attends Anaheim. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.85 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, gets low working behind the ball, fields it out front and hands play well at the ball, repeats actions, longer arm action through the back, shows ability to drop slot on throws, arm strength and carry will continue to develop across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, still start without much movement. Rotational swing with a short leg lift trigger for timing, linear to downward path through the zone. Keeps hands inside the ball, worked the middle and pull side parts of the field, bat speed will continue to develop with added strength. Excellent student.
