Hudson Smith is a 2023 UT/RHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Brentwood, TN who attends Christ Presbyterian Academy. Recorded a 7.08 second 60 yard dash time. Long and lean frame. Primary outfielder with a passive approach who fields it deep. Long arm action, tends to get underneath the ball and throw uphill. Right-handed hitter with an exaggerated spread and crouched stance. Opens the front side early. Downward swing path, can cut himself off at times. Shows solid line drives when on time and on barrel. Secondary pitcher with a rotational delivery and running action to the fastball. Gets hips turned well. Over the top delivery with pronation at release. Some sharpness to the slider, able to throw it for strikes. Filled up the zone and threw an efficient inning. Excellent student.
