Colin Tarr is a 2023 MIF/RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from North Aurora, IL who attends West Aurora. Recorded a 7.18 second 60 yard dash time. Lean and wiry build, medium frame with room to fill. Graded out higher as a pitcher in this event. Right-handed pitcher with drop and drive lower half mechanics, keeps a good line with the plate. Long arm action with a slight plunge, gets offline in the back. Throws a hammer 12/6 curveball with good tilt and depth. Great feel for the curveball, comfortable throwing it in any count and can bury it to get swings and misses. Dominated during his outing and generated plenty of swings and misses, projects well on the mound. Primary middle infielder, moves well laterally with a quick first step. Good hands with some feel for the glove, developing accuracy, has a good chance to improve. Right-handed hitter with a knee to knee leg lift trigger and a long stride forward. Long swing path, looks to elevate the ball, gets overly rotational at times. Will improve as he levels off the swing and produces more consistent contact. Does a good job with the lower half and fires the hips well. Excellent student.
