Mark Williams Jr. is a 2027 3B/RHP/MIF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Indian Head, MD who attends Home School. Impressive build for his age with some present strength, good length and tons of physical projectability. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a hanging leg raise load, gets his foot down on time, lifting swing plane, has loose and fast hands and creates bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard for his age, projects lots of future power, hitting tools to develop. Primary third baseman on defense, moves well for his size and is light on his feet, keeps his feet moving through the ball and into his throws, has some carry on his throws and makes accurate throws, good enough athlete to stay on the dirt. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a fast paced delivery, high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, gets good lower half rotation and gets over his front side well, some effort at release. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with good downhill angle to the plate, commanded his fastball well. Still developing consistency and feel for his curveball. Named to the Virginia Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
