Eric Weston is a 2020 RHP with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Rolling Hills Estates, CA who attends Palos Verdes Peninsula. Medium to large physical build with a strong lower half. Side step rocks back into his motion from the windup. Short arm action from a high three-quarters arm slot. Arm possesses some quickness, high leg lift comes out wide before shoving down the hill. Fastball sits 74-77 mph while touching 78 and flashes occasional cutting action. Breaking ball is a high 11-to-5 to 12-to-6 shaped curveball that shows promise. Hitters seriously struggle with the pitch as it has solid depth and good late downward bite. Overall shape of the breaking ball is small and tight, sits around 68 mph. Also mixes in a 66 mph straight change that possesses some slight sink. Not nearly as good as the breaking ball. Heavy mix between his fastball and curveball, they compliment each other nicely and he shows an ability to fill up the zone with both pitches. Great student with a 3.8 GPA
