Trey Alercio is a 2020 LHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from St. Johnsbury, VT who attends St. Johnsbury Academy. Medium frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.52 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, lengthy arm stroke through the back, soft stab at apex of circle, lands open-toed downhill, pitches from the third base side of the rubber, crossfire delivery, fastball worked 68-73 mph with the ability to cut it and run it, showed soft curveball with some depth to it, attacked hitters on either edge with the fastball and got a fair bit of weak contact. Hits from slightly open stance, drops hands into steep entry path to the zone, collapses on back side into drive through contact, showed some barrel skills out front. Very good student.
