Dillon Haftorson is a 2022 RHP/IF with a 6-6 200 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Leigh. Ran a 8.09 second sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher with a tall slender build. On the mound he stays tall on the back side throwing into a stiff front side with more to get in the lower half. Arm works long and loose through the back with the hand getting lost in the back at times on the way to a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball shows consistent arm side run at 77-83 mph with a lot of strikes getting ahead of hitters consistently. The slider fits the arm slot in the low 70's with flashes of sharper break when down in the zone creating swings and misses. Attacks the ball in the outfield fielding it deep and transferring into a long arm action with a longer release as he is able to get on top of the ball with good carry to the bases. Footwork on the infield is still developing as he waits back on the ball receiving the ball deeper with firm hands, made accurate throws across the diamond relying on arm strength that could get better with more use of the lower half. Right-handed hitter, starts with an even base using a simple load and trigger with a slight hand hitch, the barrel works mostly level through the zone with a line drive approach staying to the middle of the field with more power to tap into in the lower half moving forward.
