Primary catcher on defense, tall for the position but has compact actions and is athletic, repeats his footwork and exchange well, makes accurate throws from a short arm action, comfortable in his set up for pitches, projects to stay behind the plate. Left handed hitter, hits with his lower half open with a leg lift load, inside swing path, has some looseness out front when he gets extended, has the frame to develop some power down the road as he gets stronger. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Duke.
