2019 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Mart Blijleven is a 2022 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Haarlem, NH who attends Rudolf Steiner College Haarlem. Recorded a 7.24 second 60-yard dash time. Tall frame with a lanky build and room to fill out and add strength. Primary outfielder with short steps through the ball with a compact arm stroke. Lots of moving parts through release with good accuracy. Secondary first baseman with good hands and a higher arm slot. Accuracy and body control both play well. Secondary lefthanded pitcher who throws exclusively from the stretch. Lots of weak contact and lived on the arm side. Good life on the fastball and was tunneled well with the changeup. Pounded the zone and worked quickly. Lefthanded hitter with a spread open stance, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Downhill path with an inside hand path to contact. Wide base and gets the barrel out well with some strength. Good student.
