Gavin Raab is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Mooresville, NC who attends Mooresville. Young, thin build with plenty of room to fill out. Primary Left-handed pitcher; Over-the-top slot with a deliberate, slower paced delivery. Uses a leg swing to come to balance, that causes tendency to come across his body with release/finish. Topped at 78 mph in this look, some projection is there for the left hander, should continue to improve with physical maturity and overall refinement of mechanics. Secondary first basemen with a developing defensive skill set, decent footwork around the bag and a short quick arm action on his throws. Left handed hitter that uses an upright stance, inside-out approach to create contact. Long levers, current build allow for the possibility of potential improvement in offensive skill set.
