Daniel Elder is a 2020 OF/RHP, SS with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from St George, UT who attends Pine View. Lanky build with present athleticism. Showed game impacting speed posting a 6.74 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Displayed athletic actions working to and through the ball in the outfield. Flashed confident glove actions fielding to the side of the baseball. Showed quicker transfers into throws with good arm strength topping out at 78 miles per hour. Also worked out from the infield. Flashed developing glove actions working through the ball in the infield. Showed fast footwork working to and through the ball getting out of control at times. Developing arm strength across the infield topping out at 73 miles per hour. Right handed hitter. Employs an upright even stance with a simple leg lift trigger and rotational lower half. Flashed a clean hand path with a line drive barrel plane through the zone. Showed a middle of the field approach with good feel for the barrel creating consistent line drives to the middle and pull fields. Excellent student.
