Alejandro Diaz is a 2021 SS with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Dobie. Medium frame with broad shoulders and room to add. Ran an 8.53 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Receives out front with soft hands into transition. Long and loose arm action in the back. Softer carry to the bag topping out at 74 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a wide base to start. Utilizes a short stride for timing. Soft contact out front through a line drive plane. Can work the whole field at times. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a deliberate pace to delivery. Works from a high three-quarters to over the top slot. Long action in the back. Fills the zone with both the straight fastball at 77 miles per hour and a short curveball in the low 60's.
