2023 Jupiter Qualifier Workout Showcase
Yederick Velazquez is a 2024 SS/2B, 3B, MIF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Moca, PR who attends Ernestina Mendez de Ocheondia. Recorded a 7.21 second 60-yard dash time. Younger frame and build with room left to add strength. Primary shortstop with deliberate actions and some effort out of the hand. Soft hands to the backhand with throws recorded up to 83 mph. Good polish and has feel for the position. Right-handed hitter with a wider base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Controlled load and shifts weight onto the back side. Simple swing and shows good feel for the barrel. Power will come with additional strength. Great student.
