Carson McCaleb is a 2023 C/2B with a 5-9 190 lb. frame from Lake St Louis, MO who attends Timberland. A strong and compact frame. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. A primary catcher with a side saddle set up, quick pop up with an efficient exchange to throw and shows well above average arm strength with accuracy to bases. Some developing actions in the infield as well with a strong arm on throws across the diamond. A switch-hitter at the plate with an even base stance and small leg kick timing. Combination of strength and bat speed through the zone with a direct hand path to the baseball. Level bat path through the zone with some barrel control and well above average pop to his pull side. Handles the bat well from both sides of the plate and can really impact the baseball when on time. All together this is a switch-hitting catcher that can handle the bat, has some pop from both sides of the plate and is a sound fundamental catcher that can control a running game from behind the plate.
