2019 Atlantic Coast Prospect Showcase
Brandon Abdala is a 2020 SS/ with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Huntersville, NC who attends Hopewell. Medium frame with slender, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.16 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance with high back elbow, load back, gets moving forward through swing, big stride out with hands dropping into load, creates separation and gets barrel moving uphill, shows solid pop to the pull side when on time. Worked out in the infield, hands work well out front, footwork is solid and balanced, works through the ball well, clocked up to 79 mph on throws. Very good student.
