Patrick Hollyhand is a 2019 C/IF, 3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Tuscaloosa, AL who attends Hillcrest. Large frame with longer limbs and a strong, athletic build. Primary catcher with a low, even stance while receiving the baseball. Gains some ground while working out of crouch with smooth paced footwork. Clean glove circle and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws produced some online carry to the bag topping at 74 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.10. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Turns in front hip slightly at load and works to contact with rotational actions. Clean hand path to contact with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Displayed good feel for the barrel with the strength to drive the baseball through each gap consistently. Excellent student.
