Stone Simmons is a 2019 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends The Kinkaid HS. Large broad shouldered build with good present strength. Extended 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well in back and creates deception, repeats mechanics well. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph early, stays on top of the ball well and generates nice sinking action with some run as well, gets life to his fastball in all zones. Upper 70's slider kept getting better and better throughout outing, will get under it occasionally but tunnels it well with his fastball and gets good 2-plane action. Has two solid pitches and command. Right handed hitter, big barrel wrap, long swing with some strength, middle of the field approach, downward swing plane. Excellent student.
