Diego Guevara is a 2022 C/RHP with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Ciudad Victoria, TM who attends Tecnologico de Monterrey. Posted a 7.39 in the 60. Primary C, he is a medium build athlete with backstop actions fitting the part. Showed some flexibility in the lower half, his footwork and quickness are progressive with good fundamentals. Soft receiver transfers smooth into compact arm path and quick release on the bag. Good awareness overall with potential to advance. Also pitched working a simple stretch operation mostly throwing but tunneled. His arm works well from a higher 3/4 slot with some feel for the zone and flashing a breaking ball. Left-handed hitter starts with a narrow stance with deep hands set and leg lift trigger. He launches with a loose barrel path elevating contact opposite to middle fields best with good bat to ball skill. Good student.
