Brody Brecht is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Ankeny, IA who attends Ankeny. Outstanding athletic build with length and lots of physical projection. 6.91 runner, has quickness to his actions in the outfield with big arm strength, still developing flow through the ball and glove positioning. Right handed hitter, has a big late leg lift load, foot is down late frequently, gets out on his front side and looks to pull the ball, flashes bat speed. Also pitched and despite his athleticism and was a much better pitching prospect this day. Works from the stretch, high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, deep wrapped arm action in back, very fast arm coming through. Fastball topped out at 90 mph with big angle and late cutting life, velocity comes easily. Showed tightness and snap to a 12/6 curveball. Pitching coach's dream. Outstanding athlete who has major school football offers. Very good student. Named to the National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect Team.
