Johnny McArthur is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Kirkwood, MO who attends St. Louis University HS. Big and strong physical build. Works exclusively from the stretch with a short and compact arm action, lands open on his stride out front and his upper body can get off line at release, showed the ability to make adjustments. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, gets nice arm side running life consistently on the pitch and threw it for strikes once he got directional with his body. Curveball was a solid second pitch for him, gets depth and some lateness with downer shape, maintains his arm speed well on his curveball. Mature pitcher with some stuff and skill. Elite level student, named to the Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
