Zach Gross is a 2019 SS with a 5-8 125 lb. frame from Ladue, MO who attends Westminster Christian Academy. Lean and slender young build. 7.69 runner, stays low to the ground fielding the ball with soft hands funneling out front, stays balanced well and has good footwork fielding for his age, moves well laterally, has a quick release from a compact arm action, arm strength developing, more of a second base profile at present but will make routing plays routinely. Right handed hitter, upright open stance with a hand drop load, stays on his back side with a lower half rotational swing, handles the barrel well and makes line drive contact to all fields. Should continue to improve in all areas as he gets stronger. Good student.
