Chase Hopkins is a 2022 OF/RHP, 2B with a 5-8 121 lb. frame from Burnsville, MS who attends Tishomingo County. Small and young frame, skinny with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.66 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves to the baseball with deliberate footwork, fields the ball to the side and works through it well, utilizes a compact arm action and over the top arm slot, topped out at 66 mph from the outfield. Secondary righthanded pitcher, low effort delivery with a similar arm action and arm slot as in the outfield, worked around the zone efficiently throwing lots of strikes, will continue to improve velocity with additional strength added to his frame. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an open stance and low hand set, utilizes a leg kick trigger to start his swing, takes a downhill swing plane into contact, upper half dominant stroke, will improve pop with strength and adjustments to his lower half mechanics.
