Joseph Hiner is a 2018 SS/2B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, NJ who attends Lawrence. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build; good projection remaining. Ran 50 yard dash in 5.17 seconds. Sets up to hit from slightly open stance with rigid hand load, quick trigger without full incorporation of lower half into swing, shows good hand speed onto line drive swing plane through the zone. Stays committed to the middle of the field through his approach and swing execution, showed the ability to work to all fields on a line. Will drive the ball more as he gains strength. Worked out defensively in the infield, shows good side to side athleticism with quick feet to the ball, clean glove actions to either side, shows solid accuracy across the diamond, arm strength clocked up to 68 MPH.
