Luis Rodriguez Quinones is a 2017 LHP with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Santa Isabel, PR who attends Escuela Thomas Armstrong Toro. Medium athletic build with some present strength. Basic leg lift delivery, moon walks across the rubber with with his right foot, bit cross body on release, 3/4's release point, arm works well and the ball leaves his hand easily. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, gets good cutting action at times and is around the zone consistently, maintained his velocity well from the stretch. Threw mostly all fastballs, tended to slow arm and body on curveball and lacked present feel. Threw one slider late and has slider potential to develop with the natural cut he gets on his fastball. Good student.
