Cody Schiffman is a 2022 3B/MIF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Morristown, NJ who attends The Pingry. Recorded a 4.93 second forty-yard dash time. Lean, athletic frame with long limbs and room to fill out. Primary infielder with smooth, fluid footwork throughout the fielding process, clean glove actions and good lateral range to both sides. Incorporates good usage of his lower half to work downhill through the baseball, while transferring quickly to get rid of the baseball. Recorded arm strength up to 81 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small hover trigger. Lofted stroke that incorporates rotational lower half mechanics, slight backside collapse and compact hand path to get to contact. Middle-to-opposite field with some feel for the barrel and occasional line drive impact to the right side. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
