Breckin Sporseen is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-0 250 lb. frame from Chelan, WA who attends Chelan HS. Large frame with broad shoulders and a solid build. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple rock step to high leg lift delivery. Stay tall with slight coil over back leg at gather. Works to the plate with tall and fall lower half actions. Loose arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball flashed some downhill plane with occasional arm side run in the mid 70's, topped at 76 miles per hour. Slider had 9/4 shape with loose spin and compact sweep to glove side in the mid to upper 60's. Looked to consistently work to the bottom of the zone with developing feel for each edge of the plate. Also worked out defensively from first base utilizing deliberate footwork while centering the baseball. Funnels out front and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced some on line carry to the bag topping at 73 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, balanced stance. Shifts into contact with linear lower half actions. Barrel came through the zone on a naturally lifted plane while swinging with intent. Generated some loud contact with solid carry to each gap when on time and squared. Good student as well.
