Maui Schwartz is a 2023 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Newberry, FL who attends Eastside. Big and strong build. 7.65 runner in the sixty. Moves his body well at first base on defense, has some fluidity, can get his glove in position sooner fielding the ball, lower slot on his throws. Right handed hitter, has a very busy pre-swing approach, busy hands that start out over the plate, double top foot load with early early hips and lower half turn, difficult swing to time up consistently, flashed some power when the barrel was able to get into the zone on time, will benefit from simplifying his approach to get to his strength more frequently. Excellent student.
