Zack Torres is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Fallbrook, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop, posted a 6.58 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder, fields out in front and shows aggressiveness on his reads. Clean fielding mechanics, transfers cleanly, throws stay on line to all bags. Posted one of the higher outfield velocities in the workouts at 89 mph. On the mound, has a long and loose arm action from an over the top slot. Gets a good drive off the rubber and maintains good direction down the hill. 78-82 mph fastball sets up his 12-to-6 shaped breaking ball with good late break to the plate. At the plate, uses a wide and even stance with a hanging leg lift trigger. Present bat speed with some good pop to his pull side. Hands will get around the ball at times, shifts well to contact. Excellent student in the classroom as well.
