John Crane is a 2018 3B/1B, 2B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Churchville, PA who attends Council Rock South. Large frame with strong, physical present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.63 seconds. Lots of pre-pitch movement in swing set up, moves in, sinks hips well into swing, longer stride that can cause drift at times, big time strength is evident in swing. Shows solid bat speed on uphill path, strength is big plus when on time, can drive the ball deep to the pull field when squared up, good power overall. Worked out in the infield, moves well on feet, hands work well to forehand, flashes balance, showed solid arm strength across up to 80 mph.
