Brooks Brazeau is a 2019 C/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Verona, WI who attends Verona Area. Compact frame with a lean build. Projects for additional size with strength. Primary catcher with a slightly taller, even stance while receiving the baseball. Gains some ground while working out of crouched. Loose, smooth exchanges while working through transfer. Released from a three-quarters slot creating uphill carry to the bag topping at 65 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to contact with an uphill barrel plane through extension. Stays balanced throughout swing and primarily utilized a mid field to pull side approach. Consistently barreled baseball throughout round producing line drive contact. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition. Good student as well.
