Jake Rifkin is a 2017 OF/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Agoura Hills, CA who attends Agoura HS. Large frame with a srong, athletic build. Right handed hitter with a spread, straight stance. Lower half creates some shift into contact with rotational actions. Launches to contact on an extended, loose line drive plane. Showed good balance through contact with a mid-field approach. Creates some jump off the barrel to the gaps when extended through contact. Worked out defensively from the outfield showing a deep arm circle at separtion while working through baseball. Releases from a loose, three-quarters arm slot that produces some carry with accuracy to the bag. Clean glove actions with fundamental footwork while working through the baseball, smooth paced glove to hand exchanges. Good student as well.
