Casey Storme is a 5'10" 145 pound 2008 catcher and infielder from Palo Cedro, California who attends Foothill High School. He has a strong compact build that will eat up innings behind the dish. During the workout, he ran a 7.73 60 and threw 68 mph from behind the plate with a pop time of 2.36. Casey showed some good agility and good lateral movement allowing him to block balls off the plate. He has good hands and a short arm that he throws from his ear. At the plate, Storme starts with an average base and uses a slight weight transfer. He has a compact swing with some good bat speed for his age.Casey has the ability to center the ball very well and drive the ball to all fields. He is a good gap to gap hitter and when he adds some strength he should develop some power to his game. Casey is a very solid student that will spark some interest at some academic style schools.
