Grant Gajdosz is a 2008 OF/1B with a 6'1'', 192 lb. frame from Tampa, FL, who attends Alonso High School. Named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. Gajdosz has an extra large frame with good present strength. Defensively he moves well in the outfield with fluid actions, and shows good arm speed on his throws. Gajdosz showed good instincts during game action and made a nice running catch and strong throw to the plate. Offensively he is a right handed hitter who hits from a crouched stance with a wide base. He loads his hands well and has bat speed through the zone. Gajdosz has leverage at the point of contact and has strength in his swing. There is a hard sound when he connects that not all hitters can produce. Turns on the ball well and crushed several balls in batting practice and in game action. He projects as a middle of the order run producer at the next level and is a must follow because of his bat. He is also an outstanding student.
