Jason Wittenstein is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Coral Springs, FL who attends Elev8 Sports Institute. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and long, lean limbs with room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary lefthanded pitcher, begins with a side step moving into delivery, slight hip turn at top of delivery, gets tall on backside and gains ground down the mound. Full arm stroke through the back side working to a lower three-quarters slot, creates a difficult angle for lefthanded hitters. Occasionally gets under the ball or pulls front shoulder early, able to generate short sink to fastball when on top, topped out at 82 mph early in start. Works arm side consistently with fastball and showed ability to get to glove side. Works off fastball, projects with additional lower half incorporated into release. Flashed a curveball at 61 mph, short depth, need to maintain arm speed on the pitch.
