Jace Turner is a 2024 C/2B, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Leesburg, AL who attends Sand Rock. Ran a 7.06 second sixty. Primary catcher with a medium athletic build. Sits in a side straddle stance gaining ground into the throws as he comes out to get the ball with quick feet. Transfers quickly to a short arm action with good arm strength making accurate throws with a 1.94 second pop time in workouts as well as a caught stealing in game action. Showed some twitch to the actions on the infield with firm hands. Gathers with a short shuffle and showed some arm speed on the throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open base using a toe tap trigger. The path works with some loft through the hitting zone getting on plane early in the the back and using the entire field with some intent to the swing as he gets to extension at contact. Good student.
