Jared Sekera is a 2017 SS/OF, IF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from La Vista, NE who attends Papillion-La Vista HS. Large frame, strong build, clear sign of present strength. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash. From shortstop, developing actions, lateral range to both sides, long arm action, showed carry on throws. From the outfield, fields the ball in front, clean exchange, long over the top arm action, developing arm strength. At the plate, switch hitter. From the right side, starts with an open stance. Leg lift trigger, arms extend back on load, gets extension throughout swing. From the left side, also starts with an open stance. Smaller leg lift trigger than from right side, showed bat speed, gets extension, flashed some pop when ball is barreled. Excellent student.
