Joseph Felipe is a 2017 LHP/1B with a 6-1 134 lb. frame from Manchester, NJ who attends Manchester. Large, athletic frame with long and lean limbs, young build that will continue to develop with additional strength. Ran a 7.47 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, shows a short and loose arm action coming through the back side with a three-quarter arm slot at release. Loose actions on the mound, consistency will continue to develop. Fastball topped at 76 mph with more coming in the future, repeats arm action and overall mechanics very well on changeup, topping 69 mph with pitch. Also flashed a 1-7 curveball at 65 mph. Quick feet coming off of first base, similar arm action with accuracy across diamond. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and high hand set. Patient approach, weight shifts to front side early at times, length in swing but gets barrel on the ball and shows ability to create contact to all fields. Keeps hands in on swing, line drive swing plane. Very good student.
