Zachary Klosterman is a 2018 C/RHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Mexia, TX who attends Mexia High School. Younger player with a lean, slender build, square shoulders with room to continue to fill out. Posted a 7.30 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, showed a quick, short arm action, gains ground well with developing accuracy. Posted a top pop time of 1.97 in workouts. At the plate, started with a wide base, lower hand set, and simple stride to the ball. Short, compact swing, some quickness to hands, direct path to ball, with linear plane. Hits off of backside with limited extension. Will continue to improve at the plate with additional strength. Also pitched, used a short, compact arm action from a high three quarter slot, side step start, and was tall through his back side. Fastball worked 75-78 mph with short arm side run when working on top of the pitch. Curveball showed 12/6 shape with depth flashing sharpness and was used as a swing and miss offering at 66 mph. Exceptional student.
