Jackson Cook is a 2015 C/1B with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Lenoir, NC who attends Caldwell Early College. Cook has a strong athletic build. Hits from an open stance, short compact swing with good bat speed.. Line drive swing plane with good extension. Very aggressive swing. Shows good power potential. Defensively, behind plate, relaxed set up, gains ground with footwork, has clean transfer and release. From 1B, fields ball out front, good actions when he keeps feet moving. Accurate throws when on run. Outstanding student.
