Adrian Gonzalez is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Victoria, TX who attends Victoria East HS. Tall and lean projectable build, lots of room to get stronger. High leg raise delivery, stays balanced over the rubber well, over the top arm slot. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, mostly straight, tends to leave fastball up in the zone, might benefit from a lower arm slot with command and fastball life. Short curveball break at 70 mph, slider type shape at times, turns change up over with good running action at 74 mph. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base, loose and easy long swing, mid to opposite field contact, has some strength at contact and can drive the ball to the gaps. Good student.
