Coleton Strong is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Mattawan, MI who attends Mattawan. Medium overall current build with good frame to build on and plenty of time to develop overall strength. Primary position IF, moving pretty well on his feet with an understanding for the speed of the game and proper angles. Showed some lateral mobility and quick exchange in the midline. Presents the glove nicely out front and used appropriate arm path to build throws up to 70 mph accurately across the diamond. Secondary RHP, working with a full windup from 3B side of rubber and methodical timing in his transition to balance with belt high leg lift. Hand break at the chest into deep inline path to accelerate through high 3/4 arm angle. Gets down the mound alright and lands slightly open, bracing aggressively over his front side. Rotates well in the core and saw his FB peak at 75 mph as it sinks to the arm side. CB showing long term potential with vertical shape and CH still in the development stages. Nice upside here. LHH using even stance and big leg lift trigger, tight hands and timing oriented swing. High hand set and high back elbow and swings hard to impact, showing hand strength. Steeper path here but good loud contact when in the middle of the field. Looks like lofted pull side power down the line. Intriguing two-way talent who is an outstanding student as well.
