Brayden Bortnick is a 2025 SS/3B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Mentor, OH who attends Mentor. Recorded a 7.08 second 60-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with a medium frame and slender athletic build. Quick first step with soft hands out front and athletic actions moving around. Accurate throws across the diamond from a short arm slot at 78 mph. Added size and strength will add arm strength as he matures. Showed well defensively in games. Right-handed hitter with an even base and high-hands set. Inward knee-lift trigger with elevated barrel path through the zone. Controls the barrel well and showed the ability to impact to all fields. Showed present barrel control and hitter's hands, collecting three well-struck hits to the pull side in game. Excellent student
