Brett Baek is a 2028 RHP/1B/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Flushing, NY. Medium, proportioned frame with some strength throughout. Recorded a 8.52 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with a chest high leg lift into balance and good lower half movements down the slope. Deliberate pace to his movements, fastball worked in the upper-60s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 71 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in a developing curveball with gradual depth and showed the ability to kill spin on his changeup effectively. Showed developing command of his three-pitch mix that will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments and additional velocity. Secondary first baseman with deliberate footwork around the bag, a clean funnel out in-front and the ability to change arm slots when necessary. Recorded fairly accurate throws up to 68 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a closed stance with pre-set high hand set and toe-tap trigger. Rotational swing mechanics with minimal lower half usage. Displayed present bat speed with developing feel for the barrel that will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments. Showed ability to impact the baseball with authority to the pullside when on-time. Developing, young prospect with plenty of projection and upside remaining.
