Eamonn Herbold is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Alexandria, VA. Projectable frame with medium current build and emerging overall athleticism. Primary position OF, working to the ball in a very calculated manner and using choppy steps to prepare for throws. Presents glove off to the side with deep midline transfer. Lower arm angle to throws that reached 61 mph back to bags. Secondary LHP, working only from the stretch, small leg lift to belt before working down the slope. Sets hands below belt and uses short inline arm path to 3/4 arm angle. Significant recoil at release point. FB up to 63 mph with sinking type spin traits. Added in bigger CB later in outing in the lower-50s with mostly vertical shape. RHH with inwardly turned shoulders to start, carrying hands at shoulders and laying bat flat to ground to start. Slides to his front side and keeps hands tight to body to get to contact. Tends to be a bit late timing wise but best impact was to the oppo side. Young athlete with skills in many areas, will be interesting to see where his talent takes him on the field.
