Ricardo Alvarez is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-8 115 lb. frame from Covina, CA who attends Covina. Smaller frame with a young and lean build. Ran a 7.55 second 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, small side step delivery, slower stride down the mound and releases from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball has some sink and fading action, developing arm speed and overall quickness, got some weak contact while throwing strikes with the fastball. Also worked out at first base and in the outfield, solid footwork at both positions, moves to ball well and will improve throws with developed arm strength. Lefthanded hitter, longer swing on a level path, can get rotational at times and has developing feel for the barrel but able to work to the pull side and will improve impact with added strength.
