Ryosuke Goto is a 2019 C/ with a 5-7 185 lb. frame from Ijiri, FO who attends Kyushu Bunka Gakuen. He has a shorter frame with a thick build that features present strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.53 seconds. Primary catcher that starts in a low, even base. He has quick footwork and does a nice job of working towards second with his throwing actions. He stays low and has consistently clean transfers. He gets rid of the ball quickly while showing solid arm strength with plenty of accuracy. He receives balls well in game action, showing advanced actions behind the plate with the ability to handle higher velocities. He works both sides of the plate and stays in front of the ball well. Left-handed hitter that starts in a medium base that is open with a high back elbow. He uses a leg lift trigger for timing and does a nice job of transferring his weight through his swing. He looks to hit the ball in the air to the pull side. He adjusts in game well, showing a shorter swing with two strikes that results in hard line drive contact.
