Cooper Marks is a 2027 MIF/RHP/C with a 5-5 130 lb. frame from Elon, NC who attends Western Alamance. Medium current frame with lean muscular build and some real twitch to his actions. Ran the 60-yard dash in 6.95 seconds. Primary position IF, moving with some hop in his step and getting into his angles quickly. Understands speed of the game and glove work is smooth as he comes though the ball with his fingers. Clean arm path with throws up to 75 mph across diamond. Reps behind the plate too, showing game like actions in workout and compact mechanics. Quick transfer and was accurate when behind the ball with a pop-time best 2.08 seconds. Secondary RHP, working exclusively from the stretch and working very linear down the slope. Sets hands at chest and reaches strong balance point, loading well over rubber. Deep full arm path, inline to 3/4 arm angle, showing looseness and quickness to his hand. FB with carry in the zone up to 75 mph and a lot of strikes. CB is more in the development stage as it missed elevated and arm side. Good competitor on the mound. Swith-hitter. LHH using very quiet mechanics and small stride to get started. Gets on plane with flat, short path to ball and works the middle of the field. RHH starting well balanced and a bit wider here, using heel lift trigger and similar flat path to ball. Gets to the barrel consistently and with time and strength his power will begin to play. Really well rounded skill set and it will be interesting to see where his talents take him longterm.
