Nathan Trunck is a 2027 C/RHP/IF/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Carmel Christian. Lean athletic build with the beginnings of some present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, nits from a narrow and open start with a high leg raise trigger, pull and lift approach with some bat speed, stays pretty short to the ball and had barrel skills, projects some power as he gets stronger. Primary catcher on defense, has athletic lower half actions, moves into his throws well, has some young arm strength with carry, received the ball well with smooth glove actions, has athleticism for the position. Also worked out in the infield and outfield, arm plays well at those positions but hasn't had the repetitions or fundamentals yet, would benefit from concentrating on his catching. 6.89 runner in the sixty. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a slow pace leg raise start, 3/4's arm slot, slow pace down the mound with an early front side. Fastball topped out at 80 mph to go with a soft slider. Named to the Sunshine Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
